Eve Welborn was preparing for a career as a paramedic/EMT, recently completing her EMT training, but had to put future plans on hold when she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in February 2024. She is currently being treated by the wonderful staff and doctors at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and because of a rare mutation will require a bone marrow transplant later this year.
